Hi I’m Looce and I’m an artist.
From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to creativity, with a pen never far from my hand. I later pursued my passions at Arts University Plymouth, where I graduated with a 1st Class BA in Film, specialising in Art Direction. After relocating to Bristol, I immersed myself in the world of Art Direction, securing part-time roles within the Art Department. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with World-class companies such as Aardman Animations, Aspect Film and Video, The National Trust, Pukka Tea, and more.
As I continued to develop my Art Direction career, my love for Illustration and Design grew stronger. I regularly showcase my work at markets, selling my art. I possess strong character design skills and completed the Aardman Academy Storyboarding course. Additionally, I’ve participated in live illustration events, creating 3-minute portraits for guests. Notably, I was the sole designer for Timmy Tunes at Aardman Animations whilst also balancing freelance commissions.
I’m an active member of the Bristol Mural Collective and enjoy creating murals and paintings both in Bristol and beyond. Recently, I’ve been taking on A-board, signage, and painting commissions as well.
My work has been featured in various exhibitions and shows, including PRSC Bristol, Basement Beer and Circular Art Space, among others. I also have the opportunity to share my knowledge and experiences through guest lectures on Art Direction and creativity at institutions such as Aesthetica Film Festival, Plymouth BFI and Arts University and OTR & Aardman Animations.
